Our story
Local, licensed, and growing with our customers
Phelps Construction LLC was founded in 2021 by Alex Phelps and is based right here in Cedar Rapids. We started out doing the interior and exterior projects homeowners needed — finishing basements, remodeling bathrooms, painting, building decks and fences, and pouring concrete.
As our customers trusted us with more, our projects got bigger. Today we're focused on taking on larger, more involved remodels — the kind that need one contractor who will own the whole job from start to finish.
What hasn't changed is how we work: show up when we say we will, keep the site clean, communicate clearly, and stand behind the finished product. That approach is why every review we've earned on Google is a 5.0.
